Sarah Whitmore. Ashland, Oregon. I found the Riverstones the way most people find their favorite bands, through a friend who would not stop talking about them.

I grew up in a house where the record player never stopped and the back door was always open onto something green. I have been playing fiddle since I was nine, badly at first and less badly since.

These days I play in an informal session group on Thursday nights and spend the rest of my time hiking, reading, and cooking things that take longer than they should.
